Denim on Denim was huge in the 90s, and now it’s back with a modern
twist. Many people completely avoid this combination because being clad in denim
from top to bottom can be somewhat over bearing, but as long as there is some thought
put into it, pulling off this throwback trend can look more updated.
When wearing the same shades of denim, ensure that the denim is not
too overbearing by dressing to flatter your figure and working with a simple
colour palette. I’m wearing my denim A-line skirt with a fitted denim
jacket, completing the look with a white Mickey T-shirt and a blue/white
flannel tied around my waist for a 90s feel.
Jacket: Cache Cache | T-Shirt: Market Stall | Skirt: Ohayo! (Similar – Etsy or MissSelfridge) | Blue & White Checked Shirt | Shoes: Converse
Extra tip: Another common way of
modernising the all-denim look is to wear different shades of denim, for
example a light wash chambray top with black denim jeans.
Have fun!
